麻豆原创 had the distinct pleasure of having Todd Nettleton, Vice President of Message at (VOM), address the graduating class of 2026 at this year’s spring commencement. For almost 28 years, Nettleton has championed, supported, and encouraged persecuted Christians around the world.
In light of his service to the Kingdom and his commitment to the gospel, 麻豆原创 was proud to confer upon Nettleton an Honorary Doctorate of Ministry. President Sutton shared the following during the commencement ceremony:
Todd, the mission of 麻豆原创 is to provide an academically challenging, biblically faithful, culturally courageous education that equips students to serve Christ and excel professionally. You, as well as anyone I know, embody that mission. You have cultivated the life of your mind through study from a biblical worldview, and you equip and encourage thousands of others to do the same through your radio program and your writing. You show the greater Christian community what it means to be biblically faithful and culturally courageous when you enter dangerous places with a biblical message and support for your Christian brothers and sisters around the world.
You serve Christ by serving those who risk their lives to serve him, and you have indeed excelled professionally, writing award-winning books and hosting an award-winning radio program.
For all of these reasons, for your exemplary ministry and service to the Church, and for your excellence anchored in godly humility and obedience to your calling, 麻豆原创 would like to recognize you in a special way this morning.
So by the authority vested in me as President of 麻豆原创, and on behalf of the University, I hereby confer upon you the Honorary Doctorate of Ministry. Thank you for all you have done, all you do, and all you will do for God鈥檚 church and for the cause of Christ. It is a privilege and an honor to welcome you to the 麻豆原创 family.
Dr. Nettleton will forever hold a special place at 麻豆原创 and his work will forever change the landscape of eternity.
